Well, when she talked about her skin care routine, I listened intently! And no: this is not just about good genetics, because her mother had bad luck with her skin, as Melissa passionately reports. But: Melissa generally doesn’t put herself in the sun.
Melissa knows it’s important to wear sunscreen, but she admits she hates sunscreen and won’t wear it (from the neck down!) unless she’s in the sun. In these cases, Melissa uses IT Cosmetics CC Cream SPF 50 (I love it too!) or Marie Veronique Daily Cover Tinted Sunscreen SPF 30.
Melissa doesn’t use eye cream or moisturizer; so it’s not even his secret. Or somehow, in fact, as Melissa says, if we use moisturizers or eye creams, our skin becomes lazy and stops producing its own oils, and that’s why it crumbles! Skipping moisturizers may be one of her secrets to glowing skin!
Now I’m going to show you Melissa’s exact skincare routine. A side note: Melissa uses a lot of cruelty-free products, so I’ll give you some cruelty-free alternatives with similar ingredients.

I absolutely love how easy this routine is! It really focuses on the most important results here! She only uses 3 products: a facial cleanser, a vitamin C serum (to even out uneven skin tone), and an exfoliating product with phytic acid (to get rid of old skin). Simple and effective!

However, this appears to be one of the strongest retinol serums available. Simply put: Retinol is Retin-A’s younger sister. You can find Retin-A (tretinoin) in various strengths, but 0.1% is the highest available.
Now, while Melissa’s morning and evening routines seem pretty simple, now comes the tricky part: about once a year, she changes her routine to a more intense skincare routine. exfoliates your skin like nothing else, really!

It’s so funny because one question I always see women using Retin-A ask is, “How do you get rid of the peeling?” – but it’s not something you want to rule out. This is what you want! LOL!
