Let’s start some dos, shall we?! Erica Lyndee started off with this gorgeous bun on top! Her hair is a dream, but here’s a tip from Erica for this style…
How To Put Your Hair Up In A Messy Bun
“Don’t be afraid to have a messy bun as long as you tie it up with a nice bow. I think a little imperfection makes a perfect bun.”
How To Complete Your Hairstyle With A Hair Ribbon
For velvet bows we used Daydream Collective, they have the cutest hair accessories for little girls, and now for us too! There are tons of color options and they have an adorable mother/daughter set!!
This one is really yours, with a simple ponytail tied with a bow! It’s really amazing how a little bow can make a hairstyle. Another tip from Erica…
Below are some fun braided styles! I love a good braid and Erica shared three with us!! This first one is on Heidi, another girl with gorgeous locks! Erica did this cute fishtail style and topped it off with a bow!
Again we used long velvet ribbons to mix it up a bit! Erica turned this long braid into a classic French braid, and it’s a game changer! Here are some tips from a hair guru…

“As you get to the end of the braid, before securing the hair with an elastic, use your index finger and thumb to pinch and pull out each section of the braid to create a fuller braid”
The ultimate braided look is a beautiful braid that is reinforced with a long ribbon. It’s nostalgic to me and works perfectly for a holiday party! A very nice way to wear a playful hairstyle and add fun details…
Finally we made some styles! I left her studio with the one below and got so many compliments on preschool pick up, ha! “How cute is that bow in your hair?!” It’s definitely fun and unique to add some style to your hair! Another tip from the pros…
Add texture to your hair with some curls, dry wash or sea salt spray to detangle.

How do you wear velvet in your hair? Share it with us in the comments or tag us on Instagram, we’d love to see it!! Hair braiding is simple and easy. But if you are not careful, you can easily damage your hair by styling it. I keep my hair in a protective style 90% of the time as it helps maintain length. And because I work with patients with upper respiratory conditions like Covid-19, I like to keep my hair away from my face and shoulders as much as possible. I’ve been doing my own hair for as long as I can remember. But when I decided to go natural in 2013, I also decided to do my hair for a protective style. Whether it’s crochet braids, twists, weaves and wigs, I do it all myself. Today I want to share with you how to fix your hair!
And for this tutorial I’m using my favorite hair ties from Teleties. In the photos you can see them around my wrist. I love these hair ties not only because they don’t snag your hair, but also because I can wear them as bracelets to make a fashion statement. If you like sports or are very active, they can become your favorite in no time.
The first step to wearing a hair tie is clean hair. It is best to start with freshly washed hair.

The third step is to cut the hair with a hair removal brush. I like the one you see in the picture because the front can be used as a comb and is perfect for thick hair like mine.
The fourth step is to wash the hair with an ordinary brush. But before you comb your hair, you need to add your dressing room. Adding hair wax to your ends will not only make your style last longer, it will also look neater.
The fifth step is to gather the hair and hold it with one hand in preparation for the hair tie. It is best if you already have a lock of hair on your wrist like the one I have in the picture. So you can pull it and wrap it around your hair. Make sure to twist the hair tie before wrapping your hair a second time.
The last step is to smooth the hair with your fingers to make sure the bangs are nice and neat. Some hairstyles should be a thing of the past, but the nail clip trend is a style I’d love to bring back! Clip-in hairstyles have been seen on many celebrities such as Kendal Jenner, Hailey Bieber, the Hadid sisters and many more! Don’t forget the OG from Friends – Rachel!
The Best 5 Minute, Everyday Hairstyle You Need To Masterhellogiggles
With the help of a nail clip you can easily flip your hair up and out of your face while still looking nice and sleek!
Claw haircuts are a great way to learn because if you know how to style your hair you can do it in 10 seconds and you don’t even have to look!
It’s the perfect hairstyle for those days when you’re drunk and need to get your hair out of your face! And as a bonus, if you have a lot of clips, you can match your outfit for a more cohesive look!
If you’re doing a hair clip haircut and your hair is very soft, if your clips keep slipping, try putting some styling powder on your hair before styling (this is my favorite!). Just add a little powder to the ends of your hair and shake it over your hair. If you then apply the nail clip, the hair does not slip and the nail clip easily sticks to the hair!
Minute Hairstyles To Try When You Are Running Out Of Time — Everything Hairr
There are many types of nail clips to choose from and the right one for you depends on a few things:
So to find the perfect clip for you, you may have to try a few to find out what works best for your hair!
The nail clip I’m using is from H&M and I bought it in 2021 so I don’t know if it’s still available, but if you can find it in a store, give it another try. Great quality for the price and it didn’t break!
If you have medium length hair, most clips will probably work for you, depending on how often you cut. If you have thick/curly hair, you may need stronger clips like those from Revlon (linked below).

If you have thin/fine hair, you don’t want a big clip that pulls out because it’s too big to hold the hair.
A small nail clipper is therefore the best choice for you! A small clipper is also suitable for cutting the hair in half, as you do with short hair. You can find great designs, such as flowers or butterflies, that look great on your hair!
There are many ways to put your hair in a kaw clip, but since this video is for beginners, I’ll keep it simple and show just one way to do it, which I think is the easiest.
