But if you are not careful, you can easily damage your hair by styling it. I keep my hair in a protective style 90% of the time as it helps maintain length. And because I work with patients with upper respiratory conditions like Covid-19, I like to keep my hair away from my face and shoulders as much as possible. I’ve been doing my own hair for as long as I can remember. But when I decided to go natural in 2013, I also decided to do my hair for a protective style. If you have medium length hair, most clips will probably work for you, depending on how often you cut. If you have thick/curly hair, you may need stronger clips like those from Revlon (linked below).
