How Should You Style Your Hair For An Interview
If you’ve got the perfect outfit but still feel like your look isn’t complete, maybe it’s time to pay a little more attention to your hair. You might think that anything but brushing should be left to the professionals, but you can style your own hair!
Best Hair Styling Tips
It’s not just looks. It’s about feeling good. Taking the time to look and feel your best can benefit your attitude and ultimately your health.
Stephanie McDonald, a master stylist with over 10 years of experience and CEO of local beauty company Flawless, shares step-by-step instructions for three hairstyles: (1) down, (2) half-up, half-down, and (3) up. This style is versatile and can go from day to night, so you’ll always look like you’re attending a pro.
2) Starting at the sides, curl the hair at the bottom using a 1 or 1.5 inch curling iron. Make sure you have the same amount of hair in each curl.
3) After turning the bottom, pull the top down. Repeat step 2. Always lean away from the face for a sleek look.

1) To do this, start with curly hair. And get some clear hair elastic to hold a little bun.
4) Next, take the ponytail you just made and pull the hair up and through the gaps. This creates a distorted image!
1) Start with loose curls for this look. Pull your hair into a low ponytail at the back of your head. Then, part the hair completely at the base.
2) Next, take the ponytail and twist the hair up and through the gap you just made. Tighten the tail to secure it in place.

3) Next, take just the tail end and thread it through the slit as well, creating a bun.
4) Secure the bun with bobby pins on both sides and finish with a firm finishing spray. Braids are the most versatile protective style you can wear. They’re fun and playful, so your hair isn’t overly manipulated. Whether you want to let your braids down or style them up, braids are a great way to add a little flair to your natural hair.

Most of us have a hairstyle for every day, just like we have a signature makeup. There are dedicated people who blow dry and style their curly hair with no qualms, no matter how tired they are. Others may prefer to tie their hair in a ponytail or bun. Some lucky people have an easy hairstyle where they can roll out of bed, brush their teeth, and walk out the door. So how do you take care of your hair on a regular day?
I change my usual hairstyle depending on the mood or the season. In the summer, I usually style my hair so that it doesn’t sweat on my neck. Now that it’s getting cooler, I notice that my hair is loose. (Probably to keep my ears warm.) My hair is wavy depending on how I feel, so after I wash it, I brush it out and let it dry as much as I can. Then I’ll blow dry it without using a brush, letting it do what it wants. After it dries, I usually finish it off with a hair oil.

Repeat with the other side, then secure the two braided cords at the end with clean elastic. 4. Finish by adding a velvet pin!
