“Don’t delay,” Naylor warned. “No one is younger than you and the younger you are, the easier it is. I’m already 59 years old, which proves who can do it. Why should I start in six months? Let’s start!”

Naylor paced up and down her driveway. At first it was a challenge to reach his mailbox. Even though it felt uneven, like it was an accident, he stuck with it. After losing twenty pounds (thanks to walking and a new eating plan), he started riding an exercise bike and going for long walks around his neighborhood.

“Having a Monday meeting helps keep me from going on the weekends when I’m most likely to cheat,” Naylor said. “If you don’t have access to a similar group – start one yourself! Find like-minded people who understand and support you.”

“I learned to eat fish. Before I didn’t care, but I bought a fryer that helped me cook without oil and it tasted really good,” said Naylor.
